I’m the daughter of two Army Veterans, a native of Fayetteville, NC and a trauma trained therapist who has been working with the military community through research and psychotherapy for 15 years.
Therapy is a journey and I am a facilitator, poised to go on the journey with you.
My dream is to elevate women and veterans, to support the mental health journey of underserved populations, to support growth and healing with each encounter. We will work to forge new paths that enable us to attain all of our goals in life and to celebrate those accomplishments.
With over 15 years of experience in the fields of research and psychotherapy counseling, I have developed a unique approach to individual therapy that combines evidence-based practices with a client-centered focus. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling.
I believe that every individual has the potential to live a fulfilling and purposeful life. My approach is centered around helping my clients cultivate self-awareness, identify their values and goals, and create actionable steps towards achieving them. I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner world and work towards their desired outcomes.
I provide Individual psychotherapy sessions that include various treatment styles depending on the individual need. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS NC# S10628) and Certified Clinical Military Counselor.
My training includes:
...and more! These are the perspectives I most often integrate into my practice.
I volunteer with the Military and Government Counseling Association of North Carolina, AMCD-NC, and Government Relations, which are branches of North Carolina Counseling Association, the state branch of the American Counseling Association. I also volunteer with The national Association for Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns and the National Association of Black Counselors.
I have written for several outlets to include the Women's View Magazine in Fayetteville, NC, NCCA Journal, and have been interviewed several times over the years regarding my work with military families. I enjoy presenting at conferences and teaching workshops in occupational and educational settings.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and being a "home cook," trying new recipes and perfecting family favorites.
